**Terms and Agreement**

 

This agreement ("Agreement") is entered into between the undersigned client ("Client") and Bernard Alvarez, a spiritual teacher and counselor ("Coach").

 

**1. Nature of Services:**

Client acknowledges that the services provided by Coach are not therapy, and they do not substitute for therapy if needed. Coach does not provide mental health care, nor does any service offered prevent, cure, or treat any mental disorder or medical disease.

 

**2. Client Responsibility:**

The Client is solely responsible for their physical, mental, and emotional well-being, as well as decisions, choices, actions, and results arising from the coaching relationship. Coach will not be liable for any actions or inaction, or for any direct or indirect result of any services provided.

 

**3. Termination of Relationship:**

Client may terminate or discontinue the coaching relationship at any time. Coach acknowledges the importance of the Client promptly informing their mental health care provider if currently under their care.

 

**4. Professional Relationship:**

Client agrees to communicate honestly, be open to feedback, and actively participate in the coaching program. Confidentiality principles set forth in the ICF Code of Ethics will be upheld, though the Coach-Client relationship is not legally confidential, and communications are not privileged.

 

**5. Confidential Information:**

Confidential information includes data shared by the Client but does not include information known prior, publicly available, obtained from a third party without obligation, independently developed, legally required to disclose, or related to imminent harm. The Coach agrees not to disclose Client information without written consent.

 

**6. Continuing Obligation:**

Client acknowledges the ongoing duty to raise confidentiality concerns with Coach promptly.

 

**7. Services Exclusions:**

Coaching services do not include text replies, relationship or therapeutic services. There is a strict no refund policy, and any changes to scheduling must be communicated in advance. All no-shows are subject to full charges.

 

By purchasing a session with Bernard Alvarez, the Client acknowledges understanding and acceptance of the terms and conditions outlined in this Agreement.
