✨ Friends, as we enter this sacred season of the Equinox, I can feel how much we are all holding right now. With so much darkness rising in the world, and the anxieties many of us feel around the global situation, I thought this would be a powerful time for us to come together in spirit.
The Equinox teaches us about balance—between light and shadow, inner peace and outer chaos. It’s not just about the world turning, it’s about us remembering that we, too, carry both light and shadow, and we have the power to bring them into harmony.
So I wrote a spell for us to use. It’s for grounding balance within our own lives and for sending waves of justice and harmony out into the world. Together, we can shift energy. Together, we can anchor balance.

🍂 Autumn Equinox Spell for Balance & Justice 🍂
You will need:
A black-and-white candle (or one black and one white)
Incense such as frankincense and myrrh (or rosemary/sage)
Small bowls representing the elements:
Earth: soil, salt, or a stone
Air: a feather or incense smoke
Fire: the candle flame
Water: a bowl of clean water
Ritual Steps:
1. Cleanse your space with incense or salted water.
2. Light your candle, honoring the balance of light and shadow.
3. Call in the Elements—Earth for grounding, Air for clarity, Fire for transformation, Water for compassion.
4. Invoke the Goddess of Justice: “Themis (or Ma’at), Lady of balance and sacred order, guide us into harmony and truth. Bring justice where it is needed, balance where it is lost, and wisdom to see both our shadow and our light.”
5. Gaze at the candle and reflect on your own shadow and light.
6. Raise energy with this chant (repeat until the energy swells):
“Light and shadow, day and night,
Justice rising, truth in sight.
Balance flows, within, without,
With Earth and Sky, we call it out!”
7. Release the energy by lifting your arms outward, sending balance into yourself, your community, and the whole planet.
8. Offer herbs into the flame or water and close the ritual:
“As day and night are equal, so may balance return to Earth. As within, so without. As above, so below. Justice, harmony, and truth prevail.”
